Peltokangas controls scales from small medals to massive monuments, as the red granite monument of President Lauri Kristian Relander (1996) in Helsinki's Töölö shows. Peltokanka's longtime friend, art critic Otso Kantokorpi, has been sitting in his studio recording the sculptor's thoughts and memories. Photo artist Timo Setälä has compiled a book of old and new works of art, the layout of which follows the sculptor's style. The book is richly illustrated and goes through Peltokanka's sculpture production from the 1980s up to the figurative Urho Kekkonen monument unveiled in Raahe in August 2008.
