Though i am interested in the work of The Brothers Kaurismäki in relation to their society, Ì must stress that i am not setting out to make any serious comparative study of their work. It is far too early to attempt that. K slash K is an artifice that serves a purpose. To explore, in what is hopefully a more entertaining way, aspects of a society that is so often treated only as a mere cipher, an approximation, a stereotype, a cliché Fin-lande!
