Institut International de Philosophie (I.I.P.) was founded in Paris in 1937 to promote co-operation and dialogue between philosophers. Its meeting, Methods of Philosophy and the History of Philosophy, was held in Helsinki, August 27-30, 1995. The papers, collected in these Proceedings, discussed the theme from various perspectives and traditions.
