The exhibition book showcases the work of Finnish visual artist and film director Mika Taanila (b. 1965) from the past 10 years. This is the largest publication so far on Taanila's art, presenting the artist's most significant works such as the video installation 'The Most Electrifying Municipality in Finland' (2012) as well as the very latest works prepared for the exhibition at Kiasma, 'SSEENNSSEESS' (2013) and 'Black and White Films' (2013).The contributors include German film critic Olaf Möller, writer Jari Ehrnrooth, director of the Trondheim Art Museum Pontus Kyander, and the curators of the exhibition Leevi Haapala and Kati Kivinen from Kiasma.Additionally, the book features an artist interview conducted by Kelly Shindler, curator of the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. The graphic design of the book is by Tom Backström.
