43: Henry Rein, 1951. Tove Jansson. 1st Edition. Garm was a monthly political and satirical magazine published in Helsinki, Finland. The magazine existed for thirty years from 1923 to 1953.
Tove Jansson earned a living by painting and drawing early in her career. One of her main employers was this satirical magazine Garm. She illustrated around a hundred covers for the magazine and over five hundred images and caricatures, depicting everything from the life of an artist to the events of the war.
